India Touches 1.21 billion people in the year 2011. This signifies that one out of six people on this planet live in India. One of the fastest growing economics in the world India ranked fourth in purchasing power parity (PPP) (overtaken Japan in 2011 according to PwC) and tenth-largest economy in the world according to the International Monetary Fund. Despite tremendous economic growth India is suffering sheer economic inequality and imbalance all over the country. According to World Bank 2005 report almost 42% of the total Indian population falls below international poverty line of earning $ 1.25 day and 80% of its population earns and live below $2 a day.
With the growth of huge population the unemployment increases to 10.8% in the year 2011. Earning bread is not an easy task and people in India applied different ways to survive. Some are traditional and some are unique in nature. This ongoing project reveals the fact how the people around poverty line fight for their bread every day.
